Ahoj!
Sorry its taken so long for this to get up and running. If you read the other posts, you know that this blog is new and the previous blogs are just my e-mails with pictures included. This is figure will be easier because it was taking too long to upload the pictures to the internet on snapfish and then it would just log me out before it would work. So now on to plan C. But this is a good way too cause then I can tell you what the pictures are.
So, where to begin?
I am going to start off by describing some of the people who will be regularly mentioned to make it easier for you all to follow. Here goes:
Francesca B: quite possibly one of my favorite students here. She is a student at Davidson and originally from Boston. She is super funny and we get along exceptionally well. She is in my Czech Intensive class.
Sarah Beeler: hilarious. She and I have a very similar sense of humor. She is from Ohio and goes to Ohio State I think. She shares my love for Petr.
Erinn: From Chico. Super funny and loud. My dancing buddy.
[Petr and Geiger pictured to the left, Geiger is in Red. Sarah B also in the picture below me]Petr: awkwardly skinny and hilarious man. He likes to subtlety insult and make fun of people but you can never really tell. He always has his hair coiffed perfectly. We suspect that he stands in front of an industrial fan each morning. Sarah and I love to be around him. Its superb.
Geiger: Basically a screw up in life but he is pretty funny. He does nothing all day but still can't seem to show up on time to anything. Apparently he is a "poet" and a "painter." And he definitely pretends to be deep like one. We suspect he doesn't have a house and only sleeps on his scooter or in bars. And he reeks like he's never showered in his life.
Jan: The main director of our program. He is a hard core roller-blader and wears nothing but "man-pris" as we have dubbed them. He likes to give us all the history of places. He has five kids, of which three we have meet. They are super adorable.
Andrew: He is one of my favorite guy students on this program. He shares my love for soccer and also Arsenal. Pretty awesome. We are planning to go to many soccer games and play a lot so thats super. I am excited. He was my buddy next to me on the long trip home from Morovia.
Other boys: There are the Unger brothers who we call One and Two, theres Orange who got his name from the first time we met him. He was wearing all orange [shirt, shorts and visor] and we thought he was a frat boy. The original name was Frat boy orange but its since been shortened to Orange. There's beer coozy whos real name is Matt but he was wearing a beer coozy on his belt so thats his name. There's Adnan who is a Pakistani from Houston and pretty obnoxious,
Other girls: Heather is pretty hilarious. She is the first girl I met from the other apartments and I am really glad! Alyssa is in my Czech class and pretty awesome. She is from Chicago but goes to school in Iowa. Katie is the funniest person here, and makes me laugh harder than anyone else. I get a good belly work out every time she is around.
Okay, now you know the big players here's the rest:

The night we went on the second city walk, Francesca, Sarah, Erinn, Josh, Andre and I went up to the Vysherad for the sunset. We took up some wine and beer. It was really, very nice. After the sun set, the four girls went to a nice and cheap Chinese restaurant. It was very delicious. And we got served a drink called Horcek. It is a type of wine that is made from grapes that are harvested too early so the result is a very sweet, almost juice like drink. Its very good. So we got that after our meal. When we were through we walked down to the Charles Bridge and took some pictures and such. We walked across and caught a tram back. It was a pretty fun night!
The next day, we had the boat cruise which was really fun. We boarded around 4 and we got fed and served some pivo [beer]. The cruise itself was awesome, it gave us many different views of things and we got to go much further than many of us had previously ventured.
And it eventually turned into a booze cruise for many, of which I was not one. Geiger missed the boat, literally, and showed up for our disembarkment. He then took us to a bar called Tulip. It was actually really fun. Petr showed up with some others for the night. Sarah and I kept buying him beers so that he would stay longer. It was quite hilarious. After we left the bar, Petr took us [Chesky and Sarah and I] to the tram stop where he boarded and let us to fend for ourselves. Under normal circumstances this would have been acceptable and the best choice, but as per usual in Prague, this was not a normal circumstance. All of a sudden Chesky was having her butt groped. It turned out to be a freaky deaky Czech guy who came from no where. We didn't know where to escape to but Chesky moved so this guy decided it was a good time to move on to my butt. WRONG, terribly wrong. We did what any sensible girls would do in this situation, we ran across the street. In retrospect, I imagine I should have turned around and thrown the guy on his ass and beat him senseless but as they say, hindsight is 20/20. So that was that night.
