I decided to split this up so it wouldn't get too overwhelming.Friday we had class, our last day of full Czech class because we have our real classes next week too. Friday night we went out to a club called Karlovo Leky. It is this really awesome club that has like 4 different floors with different music and everything. On one floor we met these two Czech guys name Igor and Simon. They were really nice but Simon didn't really speak English, only Igor. We chatted with them for a while and then decided to dance. It was pretty awesome. We danced for hours to jams including ABBA, Michael Jackson and other disco favorites. That was our favorite floor because it lit up in really bright colors. Sarah and I ran back up stairs later to try and find our new friends but they were gone, only to be found minutes later on the Rap floor that we went to. So we danced with them and others. After, we left the club to meet up with some of the guys in our program. We walked to Old Town Square and decided to take a picture there. As we were in the process, a huge group of obnoxiously loud Welsh and English rugby players swarmed us. I don't know quite how to describe the experience besides it was very overwhelming. We talked to them and I claimed to be a friend of LC from the Hills, pretty hilarious. After meeting them we walked around for a little and then ran into some German guys. They were really nice and I spoke to them in German. The reassured me that my German was very good for and American girl, though I suspect they were just being nice.
The story now gets way better, they had Liederhosen. And they put it on for me and Erinn, it was hysterical. One of the better moments of the trip to date. We hung out with them around Prague and needless to say we didn't make it home until about 4:30.
Saturday morning we awoke at 7 to make it to the bus pick up at 8 for the trip to Morovia. Geiger showed up about two hours late, while all of us waited there. We thought it was because he got super drunk and then hopped on a train or something and didn't make it back in time. Unfortunately it was nothing quite as awesome as that, he simply overslept. After we got on the bus we discovered that it was not as much a bus as it was a large van that had barely enough room for all of us. It was sweltering and rancid smelling because of Geiger, nasty.
Right before we made it to our first destination, a waterfall of, well, water cascaded down on unsuspecting heads of passengers. It was HILARIOUS.Our first stop was a really cool art exhibit. I don't know what it was called but it housed about 18 pieces that are all about 18X20 feet. It was pretty awesome. Our second stop was a quaint little town where we had lunch. It was amazing. We walked up a little to the top of the hill and the view was amazing! I loved it! It looked like Italy more than Czech. We then traveled to the vineyard that we were going to be staying it. We were served more food and then we tasted about 20 wines. Some were good, others not so much. It was really fun. After that we sat around, drank wine, talked, drank wine, stargazed and drank more wine. We had some sing alongs to classics like Aerosmith-I don't wanna miss a thing and Enrique-Hero. It was superb and spectacular. The night sky was amazing!!! I've never in my life seen so many stars. Our sleeping situation was not so great, because it was like a sweltering butt pit. Seriously, not good. This morning we woke up and drove back to Praha. The trip was a great success and we are talking about going again. To think that whole thing only cost about 60 dollars.
Upon our return, Andrew, Chesky, Nathan, Eleanor and I went to a soccer game. It was awesome!! We went to the Bohemian game. I bought a scarf for the team, naturally. It was a really exciting game.
The opposing team scored first in like the 17th minute. After that nothing happened until the second half. Then the Bohos [as I will now call them] scored twice in a row after someone from the other team got a red card on a second yellow.
I thought it was over for the others but they came back and scored to tie it which is how it ended. The game was awsome! It only cost about 6.50 dollars. Pretty awesome. We decided we're going to do this very often. So now we're all caught up. Hope you're enjoying this!!!
